Ah, Christmas! It’s that magical time of the year where families and friends gather together to create memories, share laughs, and show their love and affection.
Who says that feeling joys and overall excitement can’t be recreated some other time? Why must there be a brisk chill in the air and snow on the ground?
This July, you and your family can embrace the holiday spirit with a little summer spin. Enjoy the warm summer air, barbeques galore, and family gatherings by celebrating Christmas in July!
Here are some fun ideas for you to celebrate Christmas in July!
10 Fun Ways to Celebrate Christmas in July:
1.) Christmas Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches
Slap on your aprons and gather the kids together. It’s time to bake a batch of your favorite X-mas cookies and turn them into homemade ice cream sandwiches!
Need a little inspiration? Here’s a recipe for Perfect M&M Cookies. They pair perfectly with ice cream and will surely get the kids excited!
And if you’re really adventurous, try making your own ice cream at home! I know that sounds like a big chore, but I found a recipe that doesn’t require an ice maker! Oreo Mint Chocolate Chip in 6 easy steps
Too much to take on? What if the kids made the ice cream for you?!
Yep, my nieces, Lola and Layla discovered this ice maker that’s also a toy!
I know it sounds a little weird, but it really works! You place your ingredients inside the ball, roll it to one another on the floor, and voila! Ice cream! My nieces and nephews LOVE making their own ice cream.
On the less positive side, it does leak just a bit once you start rolling it. Either use this item in a place where a mess is easy to clean up or have them play with it outside. The ice cream won’t get dirty because it’s trapped inside the ball.
Also, they can’t throw this ball and they shouldn’t kick it. Otherwise, it’s a fun way for kids to become little scientists and create a treat for themselves that requires almost no parental supervision. Once the ingredients are placed inside the ball, they can “have a ball” with it.

3.) Ornament Hunt
Have the kids decorate their very own Christmas ornaments with mess-free glitter sticker decorations or draw and paint on wooden ornaments.
Hide these nonbreakable ornaments around the house and have the kids go on a scavenger hunt to find them. Afterward, everyone can head outside to the backyard to hang the ornaments on the trees.
